Your table is yours for the night.

We book every table once an evening, so nobody needs it back at nine. The kitchen cooks what the season brings in, the room is lit low, and the courses come at your pace. Or skip the reservation and take a seat at the bar.

The room

A small room, lit low

Ferelith is one room in a canal house on the Rapenburg: twenty-eight seats at oak tables, candles and a few low lamps, and a bar of ten stools by the window.

Eline runs the kitchen and writes the menu around what comes in that week. Tomás looks after the room and the wine. Between the team we speak Dutch, English and Spanish, so order in whichever you like.

Private room

One long table, behind a curtain

For birthdays, dinners with colleagues, or a family that rarely sits at one table: the private room seats 8 to 14 guests at a single oak table, with a heavy curtain between you and the dining room. Everyone eats the set menu, and we go through the wines and any dietary needs with you beforehand.

Reserve the private room online or by phone, at least a week ahead.

Demo reviews

We sat down at seven and were the last to leave. Nobody hurried us once, and Tomás poured a different glass with every course without making a speech of it.

Marloes V.Six courses, wine pairing

I walked in on a Thursday without a reservation, took a stool at the bar and had oysters and the croquettes with a negroni. Before I paid, I had booked a table for the following week.

Daniel K.At the bar

As a vegetarian I usually get a plate of side dishes. Here I had the whole menu, course for course, at the same price as the rest of the table.

Sanne B.Vegetarian set menu

We had the private room for my father’s seventieth, twelve of us at one long table. A week before, they went through the wines and two allergies with me, and on the night itself nothing needed explaining.

Joost H.Private room, 12 guests

I brought my parents, who only speak Spanish. Tomás talked them through every course in Spanish, and my father, who never orders dessert, finished his pear first.
